SoundSeam Copyright Policy
How SoundSeam handles copyright complaints and counter-notices.
SoundSeam hosts audio, artwork, and related material uploaded by users. Uploaders must own or control the rights needed to publish their material and must disclose third-party samples. Disclosure does not replace permission or clearance.
If your work appears without permission
Identify the original work and the exact SoundSeam URL, explain the claimed infringement, provide accurate contact information, and sign the required statements. Email sounds@soundseam.com while secure form activation is pending.
If your upload was disabled by mistake
Use the counter-notice option below and include the case reference we sent you. A human reviewer will compare the notice, account evidence, rights attestation, and any response from the claimant. We may request additional information required by applicable law before forwarding or acting on a counter-notice.
What happens during review
We aim to acknowledge stored submissions within one business day and begin review within two business days. Timing can vary with complexity and legal requirements. We may temporarily disable access to disputed material while preserving the upload and audit evidence. Permanent deletion is a separate, human-reviewed decision.
Repeat infringement
A substantiated case can create an active copyright strike. Reversed or mistaken claims do not remain active. Reaching 3 active strikes in a rolling 90-day period normally triggers a human suspension or termination review. It is not an automatic decision, and counter-notices and related cases are considered.
Important notice
Copyright submissions can have legal consequences. Do not submit a complaint or counter-notice unless you are authorized and the information is accurate. We may share a notice with the uploader, claimant, service providers, advisers, or authorities when reasonably necessary to evaluate the case or comply with law.
This process concerns copyright. For privacy, harassment, safety, fraud, or other issues, contact SoundSeam support while the in-product safety controls complete activation.
Secure form activation pending
Submit copyright notices and counter-notices to sounds@soundseam.com. The structured form will appear after its reviewed storage and moderation controls are activated.
